Jinko ESS Secures Contract for SunTera G2 Deployment in India’s Textile C&I Energy Storage Project
With a total capacity of 10MWh, this project represents several groundbreaking milestones: the first contract for the SunTera G2 system in India as well as one of India’s first large-scale energy storage project in the textile sector, and the first-ever application of the SunTera G2 solution for commercial and industrial (C&I) purposes.
Located in Thenmugam Vellode, Ulagapuram, Erode, Tamil Nadu, this project will integrate Jinko ESS’s SunTera G2 systems with the client’s existing photovoltaic (PV) system. The goal is to address PV energy curtailment, optimize renewable energy utilization, and enable Ocean Textile to achieve greater energy efficiency in their operations.
“This contract marks a major step forward in bringing Jinko ESS’s innovative energy storage solutions to new markets and industries,” said Bright Wang, General Manager of APAC at Jinko ESS. “The SunTera G2 is designed to deliver exceptional performance and reliability, making it the ideal choice for C&I applications and Utility power plant. We are excited to partner with Ocean Textile to advance renewable energy adoption in the textile sector.”
