Double planning success for Boralex in the UK
Boralex Inc. (“Boralex” or the “Company”) (TSX: BLX) is pleased to have achieved planning consent for two projects at the end of 2024. EDP begins construction of its first stand-alone storage project in Europe
The 50 MW capacity battery to be installed in Kent will support the stability of the British grid as more renewable energy projects come onstream in the country. Through EDP Renewables, EDP has already secured more than 130 MW of capacity in storage projects in Europe.
OCI Energy and CPS Energy Announce 120 MW / 480 MWH Battery Energy Storage System
CPS Energy, the largest municipally owned electric and natural gas utility in the United States, and OCI Energy, a leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects, have entered into a long-term storage capacity agreement (SCA) for a 120 megawatt (MW) – 480 megawatt-hour (MWh) – battery energy storage project called "Alamo City ESS LLC" which will be located in southeastern Bexar County, Texas.
