Trading Launch of Co-Located Battery Storage and PV Plant in Wanneperveen
FlexPower GmbH, PowerField Energy B.V., and Spectral have commenced trading operations for the co-located Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Photovoltaic (PV) plant in Wanneperveen. The project, which includes a 21 MW, 52 MWh battery storage system and a 28 MWp solar power generation facility, is now operational and actively participating in the Dutch Day-Ahead and Intraday markets.

Dispatch introduces the Netherlands’ largest stand-alone battery storage system
Dispatch, a Dutch battery developer, is going to construct the Netherlands' largest stand-alone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This groundbreaking 45MW/ 90MWh utility-scale BESS will be located in the port area of Dordrecht, on a 6000m² site and will be used for grid stabilization by storing excess energy from renewable sources.

UNIGRID Battery announces $12 Million Series A round
UNIGRID Battery, a San Diego-based startup developing advanced sodium-ion batteries, today announced a successful close of an oversubscribed $12 Million Series A funding round. The financing was Co-led by Transition VC and Ritz Venture Capital and joined by new investor Union Square Ventures and existing investor Foothill Ventures. The investment will accelerate and scale-up UNIGRID's battery production to fulfill MWh-scale customer orders in the electric mobility and stationary storage markets.
